Was once the village blacksmiths and is believed to date back to the 16th century. Today it has been restored in a contemporary style to a very high standard, blending old and new furniture with tasteful fabrics and furnishings. The four letting rooms are large and well laid out, each with its own style and character. They each contain TV, fridge, hairdryer, radio alarm, tea and coffee making facilities.
Our award winning breakfasts
Breakfast is served in our large open plan kitchen and dining room, the extensive menu centres on the “full English” and features a wide choice of local and homemade produce. We also offer smoked salmon, a vegetarian option and a selection of fruit, yoghurt and croissants, we also cater for wheat and dairy intolerance.
Wonderful location and setting
The river Kennet runs through our field at the front of the house and we have a delightful picnic area set aside its banks. If you’re lucky you might even see Trout running up the river. There is also private off road parking and secure bicycle storage, free wifi access is available throughout the house. Well behaved pets are welcome, by prior arrangement and are subject to an extra charge.
